Uncasville, CT (August 26, 2021) –Sun BBQ Fest is back at Mohegan Sun, as guests can once again celebrate and enjoy amazing barbecue, cold beer, hand-crafted cocktails, live music, and so much more. The 8th Annual Sun BBQ Fest is a two day event taking place in the Winter Parking Lot on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. Nationally-acclaimed BBQ teams will be on hand for the People’s Choice Competition that allows festival goers to try their incredible food. Guests can also participate in the annual Wing and Rib Competition. Sun BBQ Fest also includes a World Food Championship-sanctioned barbecue competition with teams participating in barbeque, dessert, and burger contests. Over the course of two days, more than $25,000 in prize money will be awarded!
Tickets for Sun BBQ Fest $5.00 per day and on sale now through sunbbqfest.com and at Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids ages six and under receive free admission. Admission tickets and $1.00 tickets for food and beverages will be also be available for purchase at the festival entrance. Tickets are required to be used to purchase food and beverage from bar, vendors and BBQ partners.
Ribs & Wings Galore
Guests can feast throughout the day by participating in the People’s Choice Contest. World Food Championship teams will offer $2.00 BBQ samples all weekend long, and guests can vote for the best in show. Voting will be open from Saturday at 11:00am until Sunday at 3:00pm and the winners will be announced on Sunday at 4:00pm.
In addition to the People’s Choice competition, guests can indulge at the Rib and Wing Challenges. All World Food Championship competitors will be given racks of ribs and loads of chicken wings to prepare in any flavor they wish. For $1 each, guests can taste any ribs or wings and help determine who reigns supreme. Winners will be announced on Saturday evening prior to the fireworks show, and a portion of the proceeds from both competitions benefit Operation BBQ Relief, an organization dedicated to providing meals to disaster-stricken communities across the U.S. The Rib Challenge Tent is open to guests on Saturday from Noon – 2:30pm, and the Wing Challenge Tent is open on Saturday from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

Guests can check out the Coca-Cola activation area that features a real life size Nascar vehicle and tastings of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. This space also features games the entire family can enjoy including mini golf, giant jingo, cornhole, and great prizes.

UNCASVILLE, CT (July 21, 2021) – Entertainment is heating up at Mohegan Sun this summer, with incredible stand-up comedy inside Comix Comedy Club, can’t miss tribute bands at the new Party on the Patio event every Friday night and of 
course, the biggest names in music returning to the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena. Joining the mix of incredible live entertainment throughout the summer will be exciting local bands playing the Wolf Den every week. Hitting the stage in August and September include acts like the Brandt Taylor Band, F & Blues Band, Thirty 6 Red, the ToneShifters, and plenty more!

Popular local acts that have recently played the Wolf Den of recent?include Branded Country that ROCKS,?Wicked Peach, Whiskey Boulevard, Last Licks and more. The action rolls on in early August, when singer, songwriter and incredible guitarist, Brandt Taylor, returns to the Wolf Den stage.
Taylor, who hails from Connecticut and began playing music at the age of nine and professionally by 16, will take the stage with his full band, playing original music. Don’t miss the Brandt Taylor Band at 8:00pm on Thursday, August 5th.
On Saturday, August 7th, F & Blues Band is scheduled to play the Wolf Den at 8:00pm. Based out of southern New England, F & Blues Band is a high energy Blues dance band comprised of four highly seasoned musicians playing the best of Old Blues and original tunes. Other great local acts like Thirty 6 Red, Fleet, Plain Jane and Van Halen Tribute featuring Tyler Morris fill out the August calendar in the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun.
In September, the thrilling group, Souls on Fire, bring their 10-piece horn section and the best music of the 70’s to the Wolf Den stage. Souls on Fire plays the hits form Chicago, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Motown and plenty more. Wolf Den fans can’t go wrong on Thursday, September 2nd for an amazing performance kicking off at 8:00pm.
New London’s own, the ToneShifters, are set for back-to-back Wolf Den shows (8:00pm) beginning Saturday, September 4th. Formed in 2009, the ToneShifters are a Blues / Roots band who have played venues like C.B.G.B’s, Studio 54 and the Hartford Civic Center. And on Friday, September 17th and Saturday, September 18th, the band Red Light will be performing at 8:00pm in the Wolf Den. Red Light is known throughout New England, bringing classic Dance Party Rock, Country Rock and Pop Rock covers to live music fans. This experienced and dynamic band plays a wide variety of hits, with two highly-skilled guitarists, a monster back beat and multiple part harmonies. Red Light was voted the 2020 Best Musical Group of Eastern CT by The Norwich Bulletin Readers Choice Awards.

Mraz enlisted his 13-piece reggae band to hit the road with him, featuring many of the performers from his latest album, Look For The Good.? The unique setlist each night will feature songs from that album plus re-imagined Mraz classics and never-before-heard new compositions.
“When we recorded Look For The Good, we knew we had created something special, something uplifting, that needed to be performed in front of live audiences,” said Mraz.? “And then, right before our shows began, the world stopped.? UNCASVILLE, CT (June 22, 2020) – Hot Summer Fun is back at Mohegan Sun! This year’s celebration may look a little different than past years, but there are still endless ways to enjoy the season under the Sun – including fun-filled promotions, exclusive offerings, big giveaways and more!
HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY GIVEAWAYS
Momentum members won’t want to miss Hot Summer Fun’s daily giveaways! Prizes include Momentum Dollars, Free Slot Play, thousands of dollars in cash giveaways, free t-shirts and a pontoon boat from Petzold’s Marine Center.
Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash by playing their favorite slots or table games during More Monday Mondays. From June 29th to August 31st, one Momentum member will be selected every 30 minutes from 10:00am – 7:30pm and win $500 cash. That’s 20 winners every Monday! All winners must be present with valid ID to win.
On Status Showdown Tuesdays, Momentum members will have the chance to compete against fellow status level members for up to $1,000 Momentum Dollars every week from June 30th – September 1st. Momentum members can play their favorite slots or wager in the Race Book from 6:00am – 10:00pm and the members with the top five scores per status level will win Momentum Dollars. Momentum members must be an Ignite, Leap, Ascend or Soar member to be eligible. More Momentum Wednesdays are back from July 1st through September 2nd. Momentum members can play their favorite slots from 6:00am – Midnight to receive Double Momentum Dollars. Double Status Points can be earned while playing table games including stadium gaming and placing wagers in the Race Book. Also, with Bring-A-Friend Free Slot Play, any Momentum member who brings a friend to create a new Momentum account during More Momentum Wednesdays will receive $10.00 in Free Slot Play for themselves and $10.00 in Free Slot Play for the new member!
Win All Day Thursdays take place from July 2nd through September 3rd. From 11:00am – 9:00pm, Momentum members can win a share of prizes including incredible gifts and experiences! To enter, all Momentum members have to do is play their favorite slots, table games and stadium games! Winners are selected at random, all guests must be present to win.
During Fun Fridays, the first 1,000 Momentum members to visit the Uncas Ballroom (located next to SolToro in Casino of the Sky) will receive a free t-shirt. With a new shirt every week, members can collect all 10 between July 3rd – September 4th! The t-shirt giveaway starts at 10:00am. All participants must present their Momentum card and valid ID to participate. Limit one shirt per Momentum member.
KIOSK PROMOTIONS
Guests can sail away on a Sylvan Mirage 8522 LZ pontoon boat from Petzold’s Marine Center by participating in the Go With the Float Giveaway! All guests have to do is swipe their Momentum card once a day at any promotional kiosk to score Free Slot Play, Momentum Dollars or entries into the grand prize drawing! Momentum members can double their total entries by swiping their Momentum card at any kiosk on Friday, September 4th from 6:00am – 4:00pm, right before the final drawing that evening at 7:00pm. Momentum members can cool off during Hot Summer Fun with some cold hard cash, courtesy of Mohegan Sun’s $50,000 Jackpot Celebration! Momentum members who win a jackpot of $1,200 or more on any slot machine now through July 17th will receive an entry form for a chance to win a share of $50,000 cash and Free Slot Play prizes! To participate, all entries must be dropped into the drawing drum at the Guest Assistance Center in The Shops at Mohegan Sun by Friday, July 17th. Guests must also activate their entries between the hours of Noon and 7:00pm on Saturday, July 18th at the Play+ Event Center (located next to Hash House A Go Go in Casino of the Earth) to be eligible to win. Momentum members can get some Hot Summer Fun swag on Sunday, July 5th. Starting at 10:00am, the first 1,000 Momentum members who visit the Uncas Ballroom will receive a free Hot Summer Fun lunch cooler bag! Guests must have valid photo ID.
With the brand new Momentum Priority Pass, guests can get easier gift and ticket pick-ups while helping to maintain safe physical distancing!
